GOVERNMENT will ensure maximum revenue collection in order to carry out infrastructure and other developmental projects aimed at growing the national economy, Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda has said.
The minister said the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) needed modern infrastructure for officers to effectively carry out their work, which includes revenue collection.
Mr Chikwanda was speaking yesterday at the launch of the long-awaited modern Katima Mulilo Border Post in Sesheke District in Western Province constructed at a cost of about KR30 million (K30 billion).
Katima Mulilo Border Post, which is the second one-stop border facility in Zambia after Chirundu, links Sesheke to Namibia.
It was constructed by Yangtse Jiang Investments while about 14 staff houses have been built by Jizan Construction.
