Dambisa Moyo was born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia She holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Economics from St. Antony's College, Oxford University; her 2002 dissertation is titled "Essays on the determinants of the components of savings in developing countries". In 1997, Moyo earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.She also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry from American University in Washington D.C. She worked for the World Bank as a Consultant and at Goldman Sachs where she worked in the debt capital markets and as an economist in the global macroeconomics team.
She has published two seminal books on current economic topics, Dead Aid: Why Aid Is Not Working and How There is Another Way for Africa and How the West Was Lost: Fifty Years of Economic Folly - And the Stark Choices that Lie Ahead. The second book in particular is a scholarly sophisticated economic analysis of the past fifty years of economic history.

Chibamba is currently Corporate Affairs Director - Zambian Breweries, subsidiary of the SABMiller Group, a position he has held from 2008 after having held the same position at ZSIC from 2002 to 2008.Before that he had held several positions at ZNBC from 1989 to 2002 rising through the ranks to become Broadcasting Manager. During this period he also ran a smal media business which produced business television programs and did leave for two years to concentrate on this business before going back to ZNBC.
Chibamba is a noted motivational speaker and commentator on business, financial and economic affairs. He has published one motivational book on business and entrepeneurship which was a phenomenal success "Business Values of our Time."
