PACRA urges innovationThe Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA) says innovation is critical to the development of the economy of the country.PACRA chairman William Nyirenda says innovation leads to the production of quality goods and services in the country.Mr Nyirenda was speaking at a luncheon hosted for president Rupiah Banda during the official opening of this year’s Zambia International Trade Fair in Ndola.He says PACRA has taken deliberate measures to help promote innovation among companies in the country.Mr Nyirenda says PACRA is in the process of improving the Companies Act to make it more user friendly.He says individuals wishing to register a company will be able to complete the process within 48 hours as opposed to the current month long period.Mr Nyirenda says PACRA is determined to protect Zambian innovators for them to compete effectively in business.
