PRESIDENT LUNGU DECLARES FRIDAY, 9TH MARCH, A PUBLIC HOLIDAY

His Excellency the President, Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, Has declared, March 9th, 2018 a public holiday. The declaration is in commemoration of the International Women’s Day which falls on Thursday, 8th March 2018 and Youth Day which falls on Monday, 12th March 2018.

Planned impeachment motion will flop – Musukwa

HOUSE OF CHIEFS REJECTS LAND POLICY

The House of Chiefs has rejected the draft National Land Policy document which was in the process of being finalised and submitted to cabinet for approval. House of Chiefs Chairperson, Chief Ngabwe says traditional leaders have rejected the document on grounds that the Land policy is allegedly trying to temper with the Chieftaincy.

CBU, UNZA to re-open soon

Minister of Higher Education, Nkandu Luo has announced that the University of Zambia -UNZA- and the Copperbelt University -CBU- will re-open in the shortest possible time. Professor Luo has since directed Management at the two institutions of learning to convene so that they adjust the academic calendar accordingly.
