Glencore agrees £16m investment in Brazilian copper producer Paranapanema

Glencore has agreed to invest up to 66m reais (£16.16m) in Brazilian copper producer Paranapanema, taking a 5% stake the group, after earlier this year voicing expectations copper prices looked likely to rise. The Switzerland-based mining group said the funds will support Paranapanema’s capital and debt restructuring.

Pick N Pay Supermarket workers on ‘Go Slow’

Hundreds of Pick N Pay workers have staged a ‘go-slow’ work stoppage demanding for better conditions of service. A check by ZBT at Levy Junction Mall found the aggrieved workers carrying placards denouncing Management.
