That is my point as well. I really would rather us put our energy into something solid, as you said. My observation on this matter is based on the impression that since 1964, most of our national endeavors have amounted to nothing more than a joke. Maybe not by design, but we should be far ahead economically and in other sphere, if we were truly serious about our most urgent national matters. Instead we cause an uproar over name calling and the like.
Maybe name calling is childish or unproductive, but there are more important issues we should be making an uproar about. I personally would not mind at all if someone calls me any sort of unflattering name but assures me that he is a true patriot committed to the advancement of this country and will never engage in theft of any kind. Such a man can call me any names he wants, if it so pleases him. If he abides by his pledge to this country, he will have done all I ask of any Zambian.
