Kwacha 14 Billion

Postby Banner » 23rd May 2012, 09:22

Dear Zambia,

"Fred M’membe and Mutembo Nchito should stop their monkey business and pay back the K14 billion they owe the Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ). There is no need to cause unjustified mystification in the Judiciary and country as a whole" - Given Mutinta in Zambian Watchdog

Today's Banner:
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION
GIVE BACK 14 BILLION

So when was this cash borrowed? Is it in the last 8 months? Where were you and your banner all these years? What has gotten you so vocal and excited now?

Sata is protecting Nchito and Mmembe, and this the person we thought would bring sanity in Government. But looking at how things are run in the Government, PF will be worse than MMD. I miss RB.

Kwa Muntonyo, so why didn't our beloved RB, passionately missed, do something about this 14B? Where we in Zombieland 8 months ago? Where we under a spell? Indeed, we have woken up from deep deep sleep.

Thievery has become so common place in Zambia now that people steal in broad daylight and under no pretenses. What ever happened to shame? Isn't it supposed to be a natural reaction to feel shame and remorse when one is caught stealing? Not in today's Zambia.

Some may blame FTJ for this thieving culture. Some may pin it on the Bembas. I say it's a collective bankruptcy in our national sense of pride. We are so devoid of national identity and national self respect that we just as well pillage plunder our own country and the future of our descendants.

Those who pass smart remarks and ask, where was RB when this money was stolen, will still ask the same question during the next Government's term. Fools! This is not a debate about RB and Sata. This is a demand from the common Zambians that our 14 billion kwacha must be returned to us. Money has been borrowed and spent and the borrowers had guaranteed that they would return the money with interest, whatever the end result would be. That's the formula between lender and borrower. Dont bring RB and Sata in this. Talk about how we can recover this money. Or else, let the borrowers declare themselves bankrupt and join several other failed businesses in Zambia. Let their properties be taken by the State to recover whatever the Sate can recover so that Zambia's money goes back to the Zambians. Not to a few clever manipulators.

This is not about Sata or RB. This is all about getting our money back. Political leaders will come and go and treat us equally badly. God will never come and become the President of Zambia, or, for that matter, any country. But we, as the people of this country, must be vigilant so that the money that we have generated are used for the growth of the economy, and not for anything else.

People who wants to use this thread to discuss Sata and RB, have not understood the thread. Its about stopping Politicians treat us like fools, with the help of some sly middlemen. These middlemen have made dent into our national pride. If we do not wake up now, we will still keep asking the same irrelevant question again and again, "Where was RB when this money was borrowed". Very well said, when one remark said that we probably do not have any national pride. We are losing it under pressure from politicians and giving up slowly. Then lets give up.

This money must just be paid back. It was a loan how can it be written off just like that and why do we ordinary people battle to pay the little we have borrowed when companies and individuals can be let off with such huge amounts. I don't care who borrowed it but they must just pay back. End of story.

Judge Chisanga. you make us smile after a long time. Catch them before they run away with our money. We have full faith on Zambian Judiciary. Sata and Post unnecessarily tried to turnish the image of the judiciary for their own benefit. Shameless.

Go ahead Judge Chisanga and all. We, the Zambians, are with you.

If the K14b bucks was dished out secured why don't they attach their assets? The more I listen to this issue the more glaringly it appears the loan was given without security. Is that what happened?
