POOR ROADS

Postby Mr Banda J » 9th July 2010, 17:02

Dear Zambia,

I agree with previous writers on roads.

Mr concern, and I guess, the concern of many other Zambians, is the number of "Contracts" that Sable Construction Company has and the quality of work that this company does.

Take for example, the Great East Road was resurfaced only less that a year ago, but look at the pot holes on this road.

Look at the township roads in Chipata. The job is so pathetic. Yes we know that we need roads, but this is not a fovour to us by our government. It is an obligation that the government should develop this country.

A lot of engineers that have querried Sable's jobs have beeen transfered or threatened with dismissal.

It is sad indeed to see how our resourcesare being put to waste due to corruption. Sable is known very well for "greasing" our leaders to get contracts. That is why he has dominated the road construction industry.

I wish to warn all those that are benefitting from sable that soon they will be with him in prison. It is too much. We cannot bear with this any more.
