AIRTEL 6262 REVISTED

Postby SS » 4th August 2011, 18:59

Dear Zambia,
I think Airtel has overstepped its limits. Imagine receiving an sms reading "You are lucky! (your number) has been chosen as a potential winner of K10,000,000 cash tonight from Airtel! Text your name now to participate! K3000/SMS." and your never participated in their competition. After texting your name you are sent a string of questions for which each response costs K3,000. I wonder how many of these sms are sent out every day to subscribers who have not even participated in the cash to 6262 competition. Someone stop this fraud!

They say the draw takes place every evening but weve never heard of any winner. Celtel.. zain.. or airtel has gone to crooks or is it crooks have joined airtel? Its a pity that no one can put a stop to this madness in zambia.

I quite agree - I would have been conned , had my husband not told me to forget about it - just a waste of money
Don't know how Airtel can be allowed to continue this fraud.
