Minibus drivers

Postby Kay » 9th September 2010, 18:23

Dear Zambia,
something should be done about the unruly minibus drivers and their conductors. They have a foul language and overload their finished buses. They stop anywhere including the middle of the raod even amidst traffic congestion. Their driving style suprise even the devil and his demons. It looks like there is no law for them to follow. Something should be done about it

They remind me of New York taxi cab drivers. rude as heck. But they also know how to tell a good yarn. Maybe the biggest difference is that the New York city cops will probably beat the living daylights out of a cab driver if he does not obey traffic laws or drives in any manner that would put satan to shame.

If a cop catches a bus driver doing that, he just promises to give him some of his extra 'cashing.' And he's let go. We have no hope as long as the cops continue being poor.
