Allow me to give credit where it is due..i started using mazhandu buses recently and i must say am impressed.Their buses are so reliable,if departure time is 6.30hours,the bus will start off at 630hrz at most 635hours.

The driver and the conductor are so friendly and nice that is the kind of transport services we need as a country thumbs up.

Thanks for echoeing my sentiments.. The bus is simply the best! I use it all the time from ndola to lusaka and back.. I especially love the fact that they give you a seat # right when buying your ticket so you dont have to start looking for where to sit.. And also, the buses are so new and comfortable! Plus therz nothing like 3-seater,its just 2! Eish..i have a lot to say about these guys.. Congrats and please dont disappoint me..

Though I have never used Mazhandu, I bet they are good just by the number of commendations/compliments.Just like EuroAfrica are equally excellent on the Kitwe-Lusaka route.Keep it up guys and expand to all Zambian routes, you can easily push out the "kaponya / kabova / ruffneck" operators out of business.

I have never used this bus but it comes highly recommended. A friend of mine in Zambia for the first time in 10 years used Mazhandu to go to Choma, she was full of praise. It is refreshing to hear good things about a transport provider, that industry is being overran by thugs and despicable characters. Thumbs up also to Euro Africa for keeping it real all these years. Keep it up, believe me we do notice.

Shame on CR Carriers.....they used to be awesome, now the in a ditch busy digging.

I have heard good things though i have not travelled on the bus. But last weekend i was escorting a friend and noticed that the workers (drivers etc) were really well dressed. This guy had on a nice shirt with an immaculate red tie. I thought, cool! The other guy looked like a sergeant. Even the workers look well looked after. It goes to say...

This long line of recommendations for Mazhandu is becoming suspicious. It's almost as if the chief man @ Mazhandu bumped into Dear Zambia and then he bribed some workers of his to come here and post feel-good stories about the company. Maybe the boss even made a vague hint that the very jobs of them workers was dependent on them making a good pitch at Dear Zambia mwee.

Why is it that when we criticize its the people talking and when we praise, we have been paid.

Mazhandu are better than EuroAfrica. I would just urge them to increase their fleet. EuroAfrica has a big fleet of buses and I can advise management to educate their crew regarding time keeping and putting customer's interests first. They stop where they want on the way, buying anything and spend a lot of time at stations in Kabwe and Ndola.

I have never taken a bus in Zambia but this past week I took Mazhandu from Ndola-Lusaka and back again. The trip was great, on time, and I would take it again for sure.

When you start a sentence with a lie, how do you expect people to believe anything else you have to say? You say you live in Zambia and have never taken a bus ride until now? Come now. How gullible do you suppose I am to believe in a cockamamie story like that?

If you want to stretch the truth a bit, take a lesson from the guy who lied that he pays his maid some K350,000 a month. You see, that sort of lie is within reach. But this bus story is too much.

I've used Mazhandu bus from Ndola since February this year after moving to Lusaka to take up a new job. Since I left my spouse in Ndola, I travel on this carrier every second weekend, and I'm very satisfied with the service; clean time-bus, friendly crew, visual entertainment and drink. Well, there is always a bad apple amid us ah? Yesterday's 13:30 bus driver to Lusaka had attitude, he was resting on my seat and I boarded 10 minutes before take- off time, when I claimed my seat he refused to move and pointed me to another seat, I put my foot down and he moved leaving his water bottle on my seat; handed it to him, he just sneared at me and didn't take it. He also refused to open the front door for passengers seated in the front of the bus, we all used one centre door which is convenient for pax in the aft of the bus. The Ndola crew asked him to start the bus 3 minutes before scheduled departure time because all passengers were on board, he refused! Then we got to 10 miles and the bus stopped for two people to disembark; one was a patient so they were slow. This driver started the bus without checking to see if the two had gotten off the bus, until someone called. I was disappointed. His name is Michael and usually operates the Livingstone route. Maz., kindly teach Michael customer care. Otherwise thumbs up to you!

Yaba. Even when the owners are serious, it is difficult to find workers who won't give you a bad name. There's no solution.

Hey Customer,

its sad you had an experience. You can actually log in a formal complaint to his superiors..just visit the mazhandu stand at intercity and they will surely intervene. There's a time I was travelling from ndola to livingstone and there was a certain lady that had booked 2 seats for herself and her young boy. She had bought the tickets a day before but found that her seat numbers had been allocated to some other people and was then given different seats. But we got to lusaka only for her to be told to move because apparently even those seats had been booked by one of those travelling to livingstone from lusaka. She refused to move and later went to complain. The response was quick and that conductor must have been scolded but was quick to apologise. Now thats what I call customer service!

Mazhandu is good but they should ditch the apple max or fizzle drinks. The tummies don't take kindly to them. How about some fruit juice instead.
