Why do some Zambians waste time faking a British accent?

Postby Cross country runner » 21st December 2016, 08:25

Dear Zambia,

It can be painful to watch a poor fellow Zambian trying to fake a British accent only to succeed in making himself look like a complete idiot. I think these guys don't have good friends because good friends tell you when you are making an ass of yourself.

Pity.

Runner,

When they painfully mimic, I call it ACCENTS ON STEROIDS. The British accent is rather lovely, but not easily copied especially if you have not lived with the Britons. Try the accent next door. Kkkkkk

What is funny about the so called zambian british accent is that its not how british people really speak. Have you seen those 2 so called comedians that imitate what they think is a british accent from mkushi on facebook.I have never cringed so hard in my life to see such coonish buffoonery. If you came to England today and spoke like those 2 chaps people would assume you on some kind of drugs. Everytime I am in zed I hear all these funny accents which sound like , 'heeeehloo are you from lawwwwn-dooooon ooooookay. No one speaks like mrs bucket from keeping up appearances, i know pa zed they are always rerunning old british tv shows but accents have moved on and changed.

Dog, your adoration of anything British is itself cringeworthy.
