Best Meat pie in Lusaka (or is it pie meat?)

Postby Shadreck » 9th July 2010, 17:11

Dear Zambia,

Does anyone know where I can buy me the best meat pie in Lusaka? I am scheduled to touch down pa Lusaka around the middle of August. after an eight year absence. The last meat pie I swallowed was from a joint not far from the findeco building. I forgot the name and don't know if it still stands. But the meat pie was to die for.

Please help, anyone who knows a good meat pie place. I will appreciate very much.

much thanx, ba Engen. I'll pay this joint a visit. And the pies are kept warm, you say. My mouth gets watery just thinking about it.

Try Trudys at Society house ground floor near the alley at the back. Also King Pie in Luanshya road, Villa Elizabetha.

Hi Shadreck, I have searched for a pie in Lusaka. Someone recommended a pie from Impala Service station takeaway along Great North Road. According to my taste buds, it was value for my ten thousand kwacha. Try it Bro!

ba Mama, ba Michelle N, ba Shi Chomba na ba Gilbert,

guys, I appreciate the information very much. It's as if you have given me gold. My young brother will be my chauffeur around town so I will make him take me to each and every one of those places. The young lad loves to eat, so he won't mind his big bro dragging him around town. as long as I am paying for the meat pies. ha ha. Thanks guys. really.

I dare anyone here to just try pick n pay pies and tell me if any of those others are better. Even their sausage roll is good, I discovered after a risky experiment. I don't know if they make them themselves or someone supplies them.

The ones at long acres are crap.

Nikki,
you can say that again. You and me both, my darling. I will be working my way from the top. First I will do justice at that Engen opposite Mum's care clinic. Then Trudys at Society house ground floor near the alley at the back. Then on to King Pie in Luanshya road, Villa Elizabetha.

Now where are we at?
- Well Caltex filling station cafe at longacres
- B.P filling station along Kabwe Road just before kabwe Round about
- Fringilla or FarmStall pies are the best !(@ Chisamba along Lsk-kabwe Road)
- Impala Service station takeaway along Great North Road.
- the chicken pie from Copper Chimney at Lusaka International Airport

and last but not least, the much hyped pick n pay pies. C2 seemed to push that one a bit too agrressivly, but I will try it nevertheless.

I also have to mention that the chicken pie place sounds suspicious. Chicken is not meat. Not in my book anyway :D
