I should have come back to report that the hotel changed that bucket after I posted last picture. That's good management. Some people have eyes and ears open to customers.

You remind me of a fellow who refused to undress in a hotel room because there were people watching. The "people" were on TV, you see

You're right, it's mainly just the floor design he is seeing. The photo does not do it justice. They clean the floor throughout the day, I believe.

...and everybody said AMEN! But how come the ladies' conveniences at Inters have been intact through out? I often attend seminars in the hall just next to those conviniences but obviously never been in the gents. Unless ofcourse the ladies' gets quick response at the sign of a small tear. I also worked for an airline right in the same environs, not once were the ladies' rest rooms appaling. But why are the gents neglected?

Bane if you accept filth as decoration on your floors i know better than that!!! Vachizungu to me is flawless smooth and clean. Just watch the polished shinny marble surface where the queen herself is standing and the dirty lusaka floor you call vachizungu!!! Yuck

I will let you in on a well kept secret about men's toilets.

In many cases it's not that the cleaning staff neglects the men's toilet more than they do the women's. It's the men who are the problem. I am sure I do not have to tell you that men's equipment is somewhat different from women's. Men stand upright to do business. When we are finished with business, we shake our equipment all over the place and make quite a mess of everything. floors, walls, sinks, you name it. That's the problem with us men.

I hope this helps clear up your bewilderment :)

Talk about vachizungu. That is how bazungu do it. They employ a nice man dressed in white shirt and white trousers, to sit in the toilet all day and personally hand towels to the people after they wash their hands. That guy you see in the picture even shines shoes. That is toilet service, chizungu style.
