Be more specific what was exactly bad about the food? Sometimes when you are not used to certain foods they may come off as bad. Imagine someone who has grown up eating the chikoto's in the mpoto after you cook that groundnut porridge thats gastronimical heaven for some buggers out there but to a person who has never had it its disgusting. I know as I kid I would always wait for everyone to get their porridge and the mpoto was mine to destroy and til this day thats a delicacy to me but you should see the look of horror from my friends from other places when I still scrap the leftovers. Anyway what I am saying is this maybe the food wasn't bad because I know genuine italian food can be a shock when all you are used to is 'supaghetti' with tomato sauce and rape
