Barclays to continue diversifying operations


BARCLAYS Bank will continue diversifying its services to effectively meet the demands of its customers, head of corporate affairs Webster Malido has said. Mr Malido said the bank was committed to ensuring that its operations were in line with the demands of the customers and the global economic trends which demanded innovation from various players in the financial sector.
Speaking in an interview during the ongoing Zambia International Trade Fair(ZITF) in Ndola yesterday, Mr Malido said Barclays was the biggest bank in terms of nationwide distribution, with 56 branches and several sales centres. He said Barclays Bank was seeking new ways of ensuring that it empowered its customers to effectively contribute to the country’s sustainable development.
“Barclays which has been in the banking business in Zambia for more than 90 years will continue being innovative to remain relevant to its clients.
