OVER 900 local and foreign firms have confirmed participation at this year’s 84th Agricultural and Commercial Show scheduled for this week in Lusaka. The agricultural and commercial show, which will be officially opened by Malawian President Mbingu Wa Mutharika on July 31, opens to the public on July 29 to August 2.
Agricultural and Commercial Show of Zambia (ACSZ) president Elizabeth Nkumbula said the response to this year’s show has been overwhelming compared with last year where 13 African countries participated with, Zimbabwe having the most exhibitors with 30 representatives.Companies from 15 countries are exhibiting at this year’s show.
“The turnout is so overwhelming, we may even run out of exhibition space,” she said.
Dr Nkumbula revealed this in an interview in Lusaka yesterday. She attributed the overwhelming response to the global economic recovery and realisation by most firms that the event is ideal for selling products and services.
