Lusaka March 2, ZANIS— The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) has denied any external influences in the company’s operation. NAPSA Public Relations Department said management and board of the institution operates within the confines of corporate governance structure and has therefore no influence from any external bodies including the President.
The institution explained this in a statement released to ZANIS in reaction to a report carried by yesterday’s Post newspaper with the headline “MMD in NAPSA fundraising scam”.
The institution however said NAPSA’s procedure relating to its investment is in line with the public procurement act no 12 of 2008.
It further stated that in the case of Meanwood property development raised in the newsppaer, the process was approved by the Management Procurement Committee (MPC) meeting and exhausted all the necessary process.
