EX-PF secretary-generals nods FJT’s view of Sata

TWO former Patriotic Front (PF) secretaries-general have said former president Frederick Chiluba’s description of PF president Michael Sata as ‘a loose cannon’ and a threat to democracy is a true reflection of the opposition leader. Mr Edward Mumbi and Mr Edwin Lifwekelo said in separate interviews in Lusaka on March 6, Dr Chiluba’s observations are true.
Mr Mumbi said as Dr Chiluba stated, Mr Sata can only manage the affairs of the country through the supervision of someone above him.
“Mr Sata will be better if he is under the supervision of United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema.
“As an individual, Mr Sata is a danger to the country’s democracy because he is always changing goal posts on his decisions,” he said.
Mr Mumbi said Mr Sata is a dictator, which is why the PF has never held a party convention since its formation. He said if Mr Sata is elected president of Zambia, the country will lose the democracy it is currently enjoying.
