Luangwa, March 7th, 2011, ZANIS —  Government has paid tribute to the Kavalamanja and Kakaro communities for their endurity and steadfastness during the liberation struggle in neigbouring Zimbabwe. Defence Minister Kalombo Mwansa says the contributions made by villagers in the two communities will always be remembered by the government.
Dr. Mwansa was speaking yesterday in Luangwa during the commemoration of the 1978 Zimbabwe liberation war at Kavalamanja and Kakaro Villages.
He said government is now able to bring development because there is peace in the country and in the southern region due to the contributions of the brave sons and daughters of Africa who shed their blood to achieve the freedom that is being enjoyed today.
In attendance was Senior Chief Mburuma, Chief Mpuka of Luangwa district, Chief Mphasha of Chongwe District, Lusaka Province Minister Charles Shawa,Defence  Permanent Secretary Dr.
