Government implementing reforms to promote investments


Lusaka 09 May 20011 ZANIS-Government says Zambia is continuously implementing various reforms to further enhance the investment climate and promote regional integration. Commerce Trade and Industry Deputy Minister Luwipa Puma says one such activity is the Private Sector Development reforms programme which aims at strengthening the momentum already created for production and export diversification led by the private sector.
Dr. Puma stresses that government welcomes calls by the G20 leaders for the Africa Development Bank to lead the process of identifying obstacles and barriers to intra regional trade integration in Africa.
The Deputy Minister says there is need to identify priority interventions to deal with challenges that constrain Africa’s trade by coming up with practical measures to ensure the support of the G20 countries.
