LUAPULA chiefs have condemned Patriotic Front (PF) president Michael Sata for shunning former President Frederick Chiluba’s funeral and burial, saying the opposition leader had a hidden agenda for doing so.

The Chiefs have also thanked President Banda’s administration and the people of Zambia for giving Dr Chiluba a dignified funeral.

Chief Nsamba of the Unga people of Samfya district was speaking on behalf of eight chiefs from Luapula Province who had come to Lusaka to attend Dr Chiluba’s funeral.

Some of the Chiefs who attended the press briefing are Lubunda and Lukwesa (Mwense), Kasoma Lwela (Mansa), Kambwali (Nchelenge), and Chieftainess Kanyembo (Nchelenge) and Mulongwe (Samfya).

‘Å“The position taken by Mr Sata to shun the funeral is very unfortunate. Mr Sata was friends with Chiluba.
