Mataka, Mwanajiti quizzed over K200m

LUSAKA business executive Ng’ande Mwanajiti and former Zambia Daily Mail deputy managing director, Davis Mataka were yesterday warned and cautioned for allegedly diverting more than K200 million from the Government.
The two appeared before the Government Joint Investigations Team in Lusaka’s Woodlands area.
This is in connection with the publication of a tabloid, Zambian Newspaper in which the Government is said to have lost K205,000,000.
Mr Mwanajiti was first to arrive at the offices in the company of his lawyer, Lillian Mushota from Lillian Mushota & Associates around 09:20 hours.
Mr Mataka arrived 10 minutes later accompanied by his lawyer, Sunday Nkonde after which the two conferred briefly before being ushered into the room where a warn and caution statements were recorded.
