Kabimba is new Justice minister


PRESIDENT Michael Sata has appointed prominent Lusaka lawyer and Patriotic Front Secretary-General Wynter Kabimba as Justice Minister, taking over from Sebastian Zulu who was relieved of his duties last Thursday.
The Head of State has also nominated Mr Kabimba as Member of Parliament.
And the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ) has welcomed the  appointment of Mr Kabimba whom the association has described as a senior member of good standing and one who will be able to discharge his duties professionally.
President Sata’s Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, George Chellah announced Mr Kabimba’s appointment in a statement released in Lusaka yesterday.
In his appointment letter, Mr Sata said he was confident that with his vast legal knowledge and proficiency, Mr Kabimba would perform to his expectations and that of the Zambian people in general.
