UPND President Hakainde Hichilema has been presented with a Traditional Barotse Royal Stick of leadership by the Litunga of Barotseland Imwiko Lubosi II in Western province.
The Litunga gave, the UPND leader Mr. Hichilema the honour through the Barotse Prime Minister, Ngambela, Clement Wainyae Sinyinda at his Likuta palace in Lealui this afternoon.
And speaking when he received the honour, the UPND leader called for unity of purpose amongst everyone.
Mr. Hichilema is on his first leg of the country-wide tours of communities to familiarize himself with the challenges they are facing.
From the palace, the UPND leader toured Limulunga Market and visited fishermen at the habour where he spent time chatting with them and bought some fish.
Later he toured Mongu main market where he was welcomed by hundreds of ululating women.
Attempts by Mongu police to stop HH’s tours failed as he was merely visiting and chatting with people since his rallies have been denied.
