HIGH-level African leaders are expected to attend the burial of Mama Betty Kaunda which will be televised live by Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) today.
And Speaker of the National Assembly Patrick Matibini yesterday announced that Vice-President Guy Scott who is leader of government business is today expected to move a motion to adjourn Parliament to enable members of Parliament attend the funeral procession and burial of Mama Betty.
Among those expected to travel are the Deputy Prime Minister of Namibia, according to Mama Betty’s son Kaweche.
Kaweche also said all funeral arrangements had been finalised and everything is expected to ‘go smoothly’ today as his mother is finally put to rest.
And ZNBC Director-General Chibamba Kanyama confirmed that the burial procession will be televised live.
