BUSINESS Entrepreneurship Initiative for Private Schools (BEIP) has commended Government for allocating K20 billion to the small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) sector. The organisation said this shows that Government is willing to work with the private sector. BEIP vice-chairperson Winfrida Chisakuta said the association is looking forward to accessing the funds for the development of infrastructure in private schools Mrs Chisakuta said recently in Lusaka that the funds will also help its members improve educational standards. “It’s a very good decision that Government allocated about K20 billion to the SMEs sector which demonstrates that the government is committed to working with the private sector,” she said. She said the association is committed to working with Government. Mrs Chisakuta said BEIP is there to help its members improve so that they run viable businesses for themselves.
