Nevers concedes defeat, salutes PF

MMD president Nevers Mumba has congratulated the PF for winning the Mufumbwe parliamentary seat Dr Mumba said the MMD had lost the battle in Mufumbwe but it would continue its country-wide member mobilisation exercise to prepare for the 2016 elections which would be aimed at bouncing back to power.
He urged party members to be strong because the journey was long before the objective could be met.
He thanked the residents of Mufumbwe for their hospitality as well as his ‘foot soldiers’ for the spirited fight they gave in the campaigns and avoided provocation from opponents.
Dr Mumba however, said the former ruling party would decide the way forward on the elections after conducting a postmortem.
He said he would be going back to Lusaka a disappointed man because he felt the police had helped the PF to deliver the seat.
Efforts to get UNIP’s Steven Kamwengo failed as he was reportedly in Lalafuta area where he had gone to cast his votes.
