Chipolopolo Back On Duty For Sudan

The Chipolopolo boys got back to work after their 4-0 win over Lesotho on Saturday.

Herve Renard will be happy that his first choice goal minder Kennedy Mweene is back and will be available for selection after missing out Saturday’s win due to suspension.

There was also a leap in injured Sunzu’s drills as he took to working with the ball and some sprints something he was forbidden last week due to the delicacy of his recovering knee.

Assistant coach Honour Janza said Mweene’s return would motivate the team further.

“It has always been our wish that he can clear his red card and be part of the team. he has always been our number one choice,” Janza said.

“So having served his red card and being part of the team now in a positive way, I think it motivates everybody.”

He urged the other goalkeepers not to be complacent.

“But that does not entail that the other goalkeepers should relax or any of the infield players.
