PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu yesterday met Local Government Association of Zambia (LGAZ) members, who proposed that councils should manage tolls and motor vehicle licensing as prescribed in the Constitution.

LGAZ president Christopher Kang’ombe told the head of State that councils have been complaining about limited revenue yet the amended Constitution permits them to collect a wide range of taxes.
Speaking to journalists after a closed-door meeting, Mr Kang’ombe said the councils’ demands are not strange.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
