“REGISTER now instead of calling on the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) to extend the voter registration exercise,” President Edgar Lungu has said.
The president urged eligible voters to utilise the registration period before it closes on December 12, to be able to cast their ballot in next year’s general elections.
He said extending the exercise had the potential to result in people relaxing, thereby delaying to get registered as voters.
He said this yesterday in Siavonga, Southern Province’s Liberi Primary School when he met three area chiefs: Chief Chipepo, Chief Simaamba and Chief Sinadambwe.
