UNESCO approves $80,000 funding for cultural project

THE United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has approved US$83,790 funding for Zambia to implement a project on Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH).
Zambia’s Ambassador to France and Permanent delegate to UNESCO Christine Kaseba said the approved request demonstrates the active role of the communities of the Southern Province of Zambia in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the project.
