Zambia is energy sufficient – Kapala


Energy Minister Chibwe Kapala has told Parliament that Zambia is now energy sufficient currently generating 3,200 mega watts. In a ministerial statement in Parliament today, Mr Kapala says the country is now generating its own power and is longer importing electricity. He says the country currently has a peak demand power consumption of 2,400 megawatts, adding that average demand continues to grow.
