FIFTY-SEVEN opposition Patriotic Front members and some independent Members of Parliament have submitted a request to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Nelly Mutti, seeking a motion for her impeachment. The MPs allege that Ms Mutti has engaged in gross misconduct and violated the Constitution of Zambia. The motion is spearheaded by Binwell Mpundu and seconded by Mutotwe Kafwaya, citing Article 83 of the Constitution in conjunction with Order 82 of the standing orders.
